Health and Safety Awareness

Course Duration: One Day for up to 10 delegates.
Overview: This course can be run in house for up to 10 delegates. Delegates will receive an overview of health and safety legislation, employers/employees legal obligations and detailed explanations of the issue and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), maintenance of machinery, and information about display screen equipment/workstations, occupational road, manual handling and the role of the authorities.
Who should attend this course: This course is best suited to Managers, Senior Supervisors and Safety Representatives.

Course Duration: 2-3 Hours for up to 10 delegates.
Overview: Up to 3 courses can be run per day. Delegates will receive an understanding of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations and how it impacts on their work activities and processes.

Display Screen Equipment (DSE)

Course Duration: 90 minutes and can be run in house for up to 10 delegates.
Overview: Up to 4 courses can be run per day. Delegates will receive an understanding of the effects of poor posture, hazards associated with DSE operation, the importance of a varied workload and the benefits of applying good techniques and principles when operating DSE equipment.
Who should attend this course: This course is ideal for employees who routinely work with display screen equipment or are responsible for others who do so.

Basic Health and Safety for Employees

Course Duration: 90 minutes and can be run in house for up to 10 delegates.
Overview: Up to 4 courses can be run per day. Delegates will receive a basic overview of health and safety as it affects them in the workplace. Routines for reporting of accidents, safe manual handling, occupational road, display screen use and a short explanation of COSHH are all included.
Who should attend this course: This course is ideal for newly recruited employees or as a refresher for those who are more experienced.

Manual Handling

Course Duration: 90 minutes and can be run in house for up to 10 delegates.
Overview: Up to 4 courses can be run per day. Delegates will receive a basic understanding of the effects of poor manual handling and the benefits of applying good techniques and principles when carrying out manual handling tasks.
Who should attend this course: This course is ideal for employees whose activities include the manual handling of loads.

Fire Awareness/Marshal

Course Duration: 2-3 hours for up to 10 delegates.
Overview: Up to 3 courses can be run per day. Delegates will receive an understanding of how fires start, how fires spread and fire control measures. In addition at no extra cost delegates are invited to take part in a practical fire extinguishing session to get some hands on experience of fighting a fire and use of the various extinguishers.
